Summary

Responsibilities

Employment Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

FLSA Status:Exempt

Compensation:$91,000 - $111,250 per year less statutory deductions

Work Location:This position is remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent internet service.

Travel:2-3 times per year for client visits, training, and company events

Dashboard Development and Maintenance

• Design and develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Optimize dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring metrics are intuitive and drive key business decisions to alignment with operational needs.
• Maintain and regularly update dashboards to reflect shifts in data structures and organizational priorities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard performance issues while providing ongoing support for end users.

Data Integration and Modeling

• Integrate and manage data from various sources, including client-hosted and cloud-based systems such as Epic and call center platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to develop and optimize data models that ensure efficient querying and analysis.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity throughout the integration process, facilitating reliable and accurate analytics.
• Conduct periodic audits of data models to identify potential improvements and ensure ongoing accuracy.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with business leaders, stakeholders, and SMEs to gather and clarify detailed reporting requirements.
• Translate complex business needs into intuitive and visually engaging dashboard solutions.
• Provide guidance on data visualization best practices, creating mockups for iterative design feedback.
• Develop and distribute knowledge base resources to empower users with self-service BI tools and ensure they can effectively interpret dashboard insights.

Data Security & Compliance

• Implement robust data security protocols within Power BI, ensuring only authorized access to sensitive data.
• Ensure that all dashboards and reports comply with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Regularly audit and review dashboards for compliance with internal and external data security standards.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to the security framework to further safeguard data.

Technical Leadership

• Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating the latest Power BI and Microsoft technology advancements into development practices.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for BI development across the organization.
• Mentor less experienced team members, sharing expertise on Power BI functionalities and best practices in data analytics.
• Participate in continuous learning and development to keep up with emerging BI trends and innovations.

Required & Desired Skills

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong expertise in data integration and modeling, with proven experience in managing large, complex data sets.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare data systems, including Epic, and proficiency in integrating telephony data.
• Familiarity with healthcare data regulations, such as HIPAA, and best practices for data security.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable BI solutions.
• Experience with call system data integration, enhancing the relevance of analytics for operational insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other BI tools, such as Tableau or Looker, is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data environments, with experience working in Azure or similar platforms preferred.
