We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Support Virtual Assistant to join our rapidly growing, tech-forward mortgage loan processing startup. You will work closely with our Senior Mortgage Loan Processors to support daily operations, manage documentation, and ensure smooth, on-time closings for independent mortgage brokers. Key Responsibilities
Assist Senior Mortgage Loan Processors with administrative and operational tasks related to mortgage loan files.
Upload and organize borrower documentation in loan origination systems (LOS).
Follow up with third parties (e.g., title companies, appraisers, insurance agents) to request required documentation.
Track and update loan pipeline statuses daily, ensuring that deadlines are met.
Communicate professionally with clients, borrowers, and vendors via email and phone.
Perform preliminary reviews of loan documents to flag missing or inconsistent information.
Use internal systems and AI-powered tools to manage tasks and escalate issues when needed.
Support document preparation for initial disclosures and assist with compliance checklist tracking.
Maintain organized digital files and internal notes for each loan.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a mortgage, real estate, or administrative support role (preferred but not required).
Basic understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle or willingness to learn quickly.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Tech-savvy: comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, task management tools, and willing to learn industry-specific software (e.g., Arive, LendingPad).
Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment for virtual meetings and phone calls.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn from experienced team members.
Nice to Have
Experience working in a virtual assistant, operations, or client service role in the mortgage or financial services industry.
Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS), CRMs, or document management systems.
Spanish bilingual is a plus.
