The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex networks such as data center, cloud, and wide area networks to support business needs.
  • Architect and configure highly available network environments that include redundancy and failover capabilities to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Design and implement networks to comply with industry best practices and regulatory requirements such as ISO, PCI, and FTC Safeguard.
  • Design, implement, and manage network security measures such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and SSE (Zscaler) to meet business and IT Security requirements
  • Design and implement network automation and orchestration solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze and optimize network performance to ensure optimal throughput, latency, and resource utilization. Recommend changes to prevent future problems.
  • Configure and manage network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers following corporate standards and best practices
  • Perform maintenance and implement changes to critical data center, co-location, and cloud network systems following established procedures.
  • Ensure proper function of public and private certificates, encryption protocols and related functions.
  • Ensure network connectivity of all appropriate nodes, segment networks as appropriate, routing and switching functions are right-sized and effective, addressing is governed, and reliable internal time keeping is maintained and in use.
  • Architect and document the configuration of the network layer in the public or private cloud environments
  • Designing, deploy, and manage SD-WAN (software-defined networks) for enterprise environments and cloud networking including integration and management of Meraki’s cloud-based architecture for centralized control and monitoring.
  • Design, implement, and manage network addressing services and related management functions, such as DHCP, BOOTP, IPAM, MAC Filtering, etc.
  • Monitor and resolve Cherwell / ServiceNow tickets.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for critical network incidents and outages, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for corporate adoption.
  • Ensure that all open projects and demand work is kept current, managed properly, and communicated as appropriate.
  • Implement changes following established change management procedures
  • Maintain documentation in central repository for use by any appropriate audience.
  • Create documentation and provide training to transition support activities to junior level engineers and the Service Delivery team.
  • Define corporate standards for network hardware, software, configuration, addressing, and design
  • Define standard processes and procedures for performing routine maintenance for networking systems.
  • Define and track KPIs for network performance, availability, and system currency
  • Maintain hardware and software asset inventories using established procedures.
  • Participate in strategic planning, roadmap creation, and budgeting for network infrastructure
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills
  • Mentor and train junior and mid-level network engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after hours support
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Industry certification such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE preferred
  • Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and dynamic routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP)
  • Expert level understanding of Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, Firepower ASA, ISE, and IOS platforms; full stack Meraki with emphasis on SD-WAN and WiFi; F5 load balancing; and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Ability to decode and analyze packet captures and traces.
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise networks.
  • Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department
  • Collecting and analyzing raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful information.
  • Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $93,020.00 - $134,880.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
