Senior Account Manager - Data Center Sales

The Opportunity

In this role, you will support critical data center customers operating at the intersection of digital infrastructure and the modern power grid. As a Senior Account Manager, you will manage and grow strategic relationships with key accounts, helping deliver electrical systems, products, and services that ensure reliable and efficient power for large-scale data center operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with customer needs, contribute to long-term account strategies, and guide customers through complex options across power systems and capital assets. Your work will directly support the stability, performance, and expansion of energy infrastructure that powers digital services, while also strengthening customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in data center power solutions, engage with evolving energy challenges, and contribute to projects that shape the reliability and scalability of critical infrastructure.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Build and expand relationships with strategically important data center customers to support long-term account growth
  • Define and drive sales targets and growth margins, ensuring consistent follow-up and achievement of goals
  • Contribute to the development and execution of account strategies based on customer business priorities and long-term plans
  • Manage account planning activities, including opportunity prioritization and solution positioning across product and service offerings
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and meet customer expectations across multiple business areas
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships by guiding customers through available options and technical considerations
  • Monitor competitor activity within assigned accounts and help shape response strategies to maintain market position
  • Support customer satisfaction efforts, including maintaining strong Net Promoter Score outcomes
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in technical sales, sales, engineering, project management, and/or marketing; 5 additional years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience working with clients in the data center market
  • Understanding of power systems, electrical products, large capital assets, and associated technologies a must
  • Ability to develop sales strategies, navigate customer options and alternatives, and coordinate activities across multiple functions
  • Sound business acumen and ability to engage customers as a trusted advisor
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% on average
