The Large Project Office require experienced professionals to be able to support the execution of projects that are >$100m and are executed by more than one supporting OU. As Project Controls Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring effective coordination be-tween planners and financial controllers across supporting Operating Units (OUs) and Centers of Competence (CoCs). Your role will be pivotal in driving schedule and cost performance, interfacing with clients, and supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

How you´ll make an impact

  • Leadership & Coordination: lead project controls activities across multiple projects; coordinate efforts between planners and financial controllers from supporting OUs and CoCs; participate in key coordination meetings to ensure alignment across stakeholders

  • Client Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on schedule and cost related matters; support client reporting and provide guidance on schedule and cost data

  • Planning & Scheduling: analyze project requirements to ensure all essential work activities are identified and scheduled realistically; ensure alignment between project schedules and financial cost recognition; monitor progress and analyze critical paths to ensure milestones are met

  • Cost Management: support Project Managers in identifying and resolving cost-related issues; assist in preparing and following up on Variation Order requests; establish baseline plans for cost performance measurement and time-phased cost data

  • Resource & Procurement Coordination: provide input on resource requirements and ensure staffing is up to date across all supporting offices; coordinate with Supply Chain Management to ensure timely procurement aligned with schedule targets

  • Reporting & Analysis: oversee regular progress reports using standardized templates and Power BI tools; maintain and update project data in all relevant systems for management review; facilitate schedule and cost risk analysis in order to assess contingencies (time and cost) required to meet contractual targets

  • Stakeholder Communication: communicate deviations and issues to Project Managers and propose solutions; collaborate with engineering, supply chain, construction, commissioning teams and contractors in order to assess scope changes and their impacts; ensure timely and effective communication with customers and stakeholders to maintain transparency on project status

Your background

  • Previous 5 years’ experience as a Project Control Manager within a similar industry (preferably for EPC projects)
  • Strong experience in project planning and scheduling, cost management, change management and broader project management related topics
  • Knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6, both Client and EPPM versions, and ability to operate “hands on” inside the project schedule
  • Knowledge of Power BI, including ability to develop and customize project specific reports
  • Willingness to travel when required
