Job Description:

The IT Application Manager HR Time at Hitachi, Ltd. will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, maintenance, and strategic development of HR Time Management applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance to support global workforce management needs.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of HR Time Management systems, including time tracking, attendance, and leave management solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure application solutions meet evolving needs.
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service level agreements (SLAs) for HR Time applications and related services.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of HR Time data and applications with company policies and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, local labor laws).
  • Develop and implement strategies for application upgrades, enhancements, and system integrations to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Monitor application performance, identify potential issues, and lead troubleshooting efforts to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to deliver solutions on schedule and within financial constraints.
  • Prepare and present reports on application performance, project status, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role focused on HR applications, specifically Time Management systems.
  • Proven expertise with major HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM) and their Time Management modules.
  • Strong understanding of time and attendance policies, labor laws, and their application within IT systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
