Channel Manager, IOU
The Opportunity
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage and grow distributor channel accounts serving electric utilities, with accountability for orders, share of spend, and customer satisfaction
- Build trusted, long‑term relationships with channel partner executives and key stakeholders across utility-focused organizations
- Create and execute strategic account plans that prioritize opportunities and align Hitachi Energy value propositions to channel partner needs
- Mobilize cross‑business Hitachi Energy resources to deliver integrated, high‑value solutions for utility customers
- Act as the focal point for issue resolution, customer complaints, and complex relationship management across business lines
- Provide market intelligence, competitive updates, and utility market insights to sales and marketing teams
- Lead capture teams and support complex negotiations to drive growth and strategic project wins
- Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events, supporting value‑based selling and awareness of market trends
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical (engineering) or business discipline required; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience preferred, or a combination of acceptable education and experience, including multiple products, customers, or market segments
- Several years of experience in distribution sales, preferably in the electric utility sector
- Previous experience working in an electric utility environment, with understanding of the utility bid process and major competitors
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment, motivate and influence others, and build relationships quickly
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (including Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint) and experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 50%
