📢 About the Role

📍 Location: Fully remote in Demark or Sweden
💼 Reports to: Director of Engineering
Job Type: Full-time

🧑‍💻 About You

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Lead Software Engineer who will be the strongest technical contributor within an outcome team. This role is first and foremost about building excellent software, setting a high technical bar, and helping the rest of the team level up through example, mentorship, and technical guidance.

You will work closely with Product and QA to shape solutions, but your primary impact comes from writing, reviewing, and evolving production code. While this role includes people management responsibilities, leadership is expressed mainly through technical excellence, decision-making, and raising the quality of the team’s output.

As we scale, we rely heavily on AI and automation to increase engineering leverage. We are looking for engineers who actively experiment with AI-assisted development and help teams adopt more effective ways of building software.

📌What You’ll Do

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be deeply involved in building, reviewing, and shaping our systems while ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality outcomes.
  • Be the primary technical contributor on the team, owning complex problems and setting the quality bar for implementation.
  • Design, build, and evolve core parts of our web and mobile applications using Vue 3, Quasar, Capacitor, Node.js, and Google Cloud Platform services such as Firebase and Firestore.
  • Drive architectural decisions at the team level and contribute to cross-team technical alignment through the Lead Engineers guild.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code, and ensure the same standards are upheld across the team through code reviews.
  • Work closely with Product and QA to translate business problems into robust technical solutions.
  • Mentor and support Software Engineers through hands-on collaboration, pairing, and technical feedback.
  • Identify technical risks, performance issues, and scalability concerns early, and proactively address them.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, OpenAI) to increase development efficiency and help the team adopt AI-assisted workflows.
  • Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, and standards as the organization grows.

🎯What You Bring

  • Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer with a track record of delivering complex, production-grade systems.
  • Deep proficiency in Vue 3 and Node.js, with strong full-stack understanding.
  • Solid experience with Firebase, Firestore, and Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable APIs and data models.
  • Strong architectural intuition and the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs.
  • High code quality standards and strong opinions, loosely held.
  • Ability to elevate team performance through technical leadership, mentoring, and example.
  • Comfort operating in an environment where ambiguity is common and judgment matters.
  • Strong interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering workflows.

View company profile

Hi Rasmus was inspired by our founder’s son, Rasmus, who was diagnosed with autism very early on in his life. After 20 years as a tech entrepreneur in consumer finance, our founder changed course and is now fully devoted to easing the burden on parents, children, and therapists working with autism. The mission of Hi Rasmus is to deliver high-quality behavioral therapy services to 1 million children with autism worldwide by assisting the people who help them: behavioral analysts, techs, teachers, parents, and clinical directors.

Rasmus grew up in a supportive environment with access to some of the world’s leading experts in the field. However, navigating treatments was still challenging, highlighting the need for a robust solution. With this realization, Hi Rasmus aims to provide a platform that is user-friendly and accessible, breaking barriers in treatment accessibility. The company is committed to promoting evidence-based services through intuitive tools that empower clinicians to support children and families effectively. Together, Hi Rasmus believes that by utilizing technology and fostering collaboration among caregivers, we can help children with autism achieve their fullest potential and lead fulfilling lives.
