Hours:Per diem, estimated10–15 hours/week(starting closer to 10 hours/month, with potential to expand)
The Psychiatrist will providepsychiatric evaluations, medication management, and clinical consultationfor high-need Medi-Cal members. This role will play a key part in expanding HHN’s Behavioral Health Division in 2025.
- Conducttelehealth psychiatric evaluationsfor Medi-Cal members.
- Prescribe and managepsychiatric medicationsas clinically appropriate.
- Providepsychiatric consultationto LCSWs, RNs, and care managers on member treatment plans.
- Participate incase reviews and interdisciplinary care team meetings.
- Document all encounters ineClinicalWorks (ECW)EMR in line with DHCS and payer requirements.
- Contribute to the development ofclinical policies, escalation pathways, and prescribing protocols
Requirements
Licensed Psychiatrist (MD/DO) in California.
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible.
2+ years of psychiatric practice, ideally with Medi-Cal or underserved populations.
Experience withtelepsychiatry.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with ECM or integrated behavioral health preferred.
