The Career Coach Facilitator - Ottawa Region plays a key role in the success of the Ontario Career Lab (OCL) - an innovative, province-wide career exploration initiative led by HIEC that connects volunteer Career Coaches with Grade 9 and 10 students across Ontario. This position is ideal for a confident facilitator who is passionate about youth engagement and understands the unique communities, industries, and cultural landscapes across Southeastern Ontario.
Requirements
- Minimum: high school diploma; post-secondary education in education, communications, or social sciences is an asset.
- 3–5 years’ experience in facilitation, training delivery, or program coordination.
- Familiarity with Southeastern Ontario communities, geography, and cultural context is highly valued.
- Experience working with youth or in educational settings is a strong asset.
- Experience in career coaching, employment counselling, or workforce development is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in digital tools for coordination, reporting, and communication.
- Fluency in French (written and spoken) is an asset.
- ASL/FSL is an asset.
- Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person sessions.
