Your Role

As our IT Director, you will be the strategic leader responsible for aligning our IT initiatives with business objectives. Your mission is to oversee and enhance our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, driving technological innovation, and supporting our expansion across multiple locations. You will guide a team of skilled IT professionals, manage IT resources, and implement security measures, all while fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Manage, coach, and lead a team of 20+ IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with Groupon's goals, driving innovation and competitive advantage.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee IT operations, ensuring efficient management of hardware, software, and personnel. Streamline onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance productivity and satisfaction.

• Technology Integration: Introduce and integrate new technologies to maintain a cutting-edge IT infrastructure. Stay current with evolving technologies and provide strategic direction for IT initiatives.

• Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security measures, ensuring regulatory compliance across all IT operations.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the CTO, VP’s, and other department heads, to ensure alignment and successful IT integration.

• Budget Management: Develop and maintain the IT budget, overseeing spending across teams and optimizing financial resources.

• Communication: Communicate operational goals and business impacts to c-suite officers and the board of directors.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 10+ years in IT leadership, managing and leading teams of 20+ people in a global setting.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security practices, with hands-on experience in relevant technologies

• Strategic Vision: Proven ability to provide strategic direction, align IT initiatives with business goals, and drive technological innovation.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex IT challenges and propose effective solutions.

• Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Leadership: A proactive leader with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team, fostering professional growth and development.

Nice to Have

• Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing large-scale IT budgets and financial forecasting.

• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies to enhance project management and team collaboration.

• Vendor Relations: Proven ability to manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

• Crisis Management: Skills in handling IT crises and implementing disaster recovery plans.
