VP of Credit Risk & Analytics - US (Remote)

As the VP of Credit Risk & Analytics, you’ll play a critical role in owning and shaping the performance of our credit portfolio. You’ll define the strategies that balance growth, risk, and profitability—ensuring our credit decisions drive sustainable, risk-adjusted revenue.
You’ll lead the direction of credit policy, pricing, and portfolio optimization, using data and market insights to guide high-impact decisions that directly influence company performance.
This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and leads the Risk & Analytics function.

- Credit Strategy & Portfolio Ownership – Driving portfolio performance, risk appetite, and policy direction
- Pricing Strategy & Optimization – Balancing competitiveness and profitability across segments
- Cross-Functional Leadership – Aligning credit strategy with Finance, Product, Sales, and Underwriting
- Decision Accountability & Performance Oversight – Ensuring analytics and data teams deliver business impact
How you’ll be measured:
Portfolio Performance Ownership
- Own IRR, cohort performance, roll rates, and funnel conversion metrics, ensuring alignment with company growth and profitability goals
Credit & Pricing Strategy Leadership
- Define and evolve credit policy, underwriting strategy, and pricing frameworks that optimize risk-adjusted returns
Executive Influence & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner across Finance, Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure consistent execution of credit strategy and influence business outcomes

What You’ve Done Before:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk with direct ownership of portfolio performance
- 3+ years in a director-level or higher leadership role
- Strong experience in small business lending, alternative finance, or non-prime environments preferred
- Proven success in making pricing and credit decisions with measurable business impact
- Experience operating at an executive level with clear cross-functional influence
Tools and Expertise You’ll Bring:
- Deep expertise in portfolio management, pricing strategy, and unit economics
- Strong understanding of underwriting processes, credit policy design, and segmentation
- Ability to interpret and challenge analytical outputs without direct model ownership
- Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL and BI tools for data interpretation
- Familiarity with credit decisioning systems, data vendors, and fraud tools
