About Girl Scouts of Western Washington
At Girl Scouts of Western Washington, our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Founded in 1912, we have a long-standing commitment to empowering girls and gender-expansive youth to become leaders. Our organization provides a strong community and a variety of youth-driven programs that reflect the ever-changing interests and needs of our members. We serve youth and adult volunteers across 17 counties in Western Washington, investing deeply in our community through various initiatives.
We maintain several camp properties and offices, ensuring that every girl has access to the transformative Girl Scout Leadership Experience. The organization utilizes inclusive language to ensure everyone who identifies with the Girl Scout experience feels welcome—encompassing cisgender girls, transgender youth, non-binary youth, and others. Together with our dedicated volunteers, we create opportunities for girls to discover their potential while developing vital skills like teamwork and decision-making. Join us as we continue to build a stronger community, one leader at a time!
