A company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll expertise, deep knowledge of California labor laws, and experience working with modern payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and payroll regulations
- Maintain payroll records, reporting, and reconciliations
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with HR and accounting to ensure accurate employee data and reporting
- Support process improvements and system efficiencies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws (required)
- Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
