The Program Specialist supports regulatory and credentialing operations by coordinating provider licensure tracking, verification, and renewal processes. This role ensures providers maintain appropriate licensure throughout the hiring process and active employment and supports regulatory documentation requirements related to collaboration agreements and provider licensure compliance.
This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the collaboration agreement process across all states, ensuring alignment with varying state-specific regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate, compliant documentation.
Role Scope / Authority
- Performs defined compliance and credentialing coordination activities within established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Exercises judgment within established workflows to ensure provider licensure documentation and renewal timelines are maintained.
- Coordinates and manages the multi-state collaboration agreement process, ensuring consistency, completeness, and compliance across jurisdictions.
- This role does not have authority for hiring, discipline, or performance management and operates as an individual contributor supporting credentialing and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Track provider licensure status and renewal timelines to ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct pre-hire licensure verification to confirm provider eligibility prior to onboarding
- Support provider licensure progression for provisionally licensed providers during the hiring process
- Coordinate licensure renewal reminders and follow-up with providers regarding renewal documentation
- Maintain accurate licensure records and documentation within credentialing and compliance systems
- Manage and coordinate collaboration agreement processes across all states, including tracking requirements, renewals, and documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate annual collaboration agreement renewals for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with state regulatory requirements
- Submit and track collaboration agreements and regulatory documentation as required
- Support cross-functional coordination with Compliance, Credentialing, and Operations teams
- Assist with compliance documentation, audits, and regulatory tracking activities
- Perform other job-related duties consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the role, as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, compliance coordination, or licensure administration preferred
- Experience working with credentialing systems, licensing boards, or regulatory documentation preferred
- Experience supporting multi-state licensure and collaboration agreement processes strongly preferred
