We are seeking a Manufacturability Engineer to join our team supporting the Naval Nuclear Laboratory at their Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory.
Requirements
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations.
- Review and disposition supplier mechanical design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements.
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied.
- Understand ASME Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing principles.
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
- Experience with Model Based Design - Experience with Design for Manufacturability.
- Experience implementing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) into designs.
- Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS).
- Experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers.
- Experience with machining and all forms of welding processes across design and production.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think creatively and make recommendations to senior project personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
