Roles and Responsibilities
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and negotiate complex multi-year contracts
- Support the design and deployment of scalable and repeatable processes to launch AN customer opportunities globally.
- Work closely with customers to identify needs and potential solutions. Bring together GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) and GE Vernova resources as needed to serve customers.
- Cultivate customer relationships at all levels of the customer organization.
- Develop partner relationships where needed to put together total project solutions. Identify and resolve issues as needed.
- Be responsible for obtaining orders and sales by driving and implementing sales strategy for assigned markets/customers.
- Contribute to defining and implementing marketing and commercial strategies to increase orders volume, scope and maximize profitability
- Keep leadership team up to date on market and strategic account intelligence
- Maintain meeting rhythm with executive leadership and GVH leadership with assigned accounts
- Develop winning bid strategies for opportunities. Support proposals for respective customer opportunities, providing key customer inputs and strategy to the team, and leading negotiations.
- Support internal governance processes to obtain necessary management approvals for offers and resulting negotiations
- Update and maintain Customer Relationship Management tool (e.g. Salesforce.com) for respective opportunities and represent at various meetings in order to assist management with sales forecasts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Sales or Marketing position
Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear industry or adjacent industry
Desired Characteristics
- GE Vernova Candidate Leadership Program (CLP) experience valued.
- Over 5 years experience in a Sales or Marketing position
- Over 5 years experience in nuclear industry
- Master’s degree in business administration
- Advanced understanding of nuclear technologies, regulations and operations as well as customer electricity generating environment (e.g. how customers make money)
- Advanced understanding of commercial operations, deal structuring and contract terms
- In depth knowledge of BWRX-300 and Boiling Water Reactors
- Experience developing large project contracts and working with EPC firms
- Experience in Lean and developing standard work
- Demonstrated Program/Project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to get along with customers and GE Vernova Hitachi colleagues at all levels and disciplines
- Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex sales information in a clear and concise manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing
- Clear thinking / problem-solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within sales function involving process improvement; able and willing to quickly grasp new ideas
- Basic understanding of nuclear technologies, regulations and operations as well as customer electricity generating environment (e.g. how customers make money)
- Basic understanding of commercial operations, deal structuring and contract terms
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer facilities up to 50% of the time domestic travel
- The preferred work location is the headquarters in Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote US based candidates will be considered.
