Job Description Summary

Contract professional supporting the Defense & Systems business contract life cycle including cradle to grave contract management and critical product line partnership duties in government and commercial contracting environments. The Defense & Systems Contracts Team is the primary focal to government, airframer and commercial procurement customers and accountable for contracting actions across all phases of a Program: proposal strategy, solution development, production, sustainment and closeout. The Contracts Team provides expert knowledge in customer relationships and regulations, contract terms, price and profit negotiation, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and scope and change management. As a trusted partner to the business, Contracts collaborates across multiple functions with a focus on meeting business objectives while balancing customer expectations.

The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient contract formation and execution across varying contract types and customer requirements.

Role Overview

The Senior Contracts Manager provides end-to-endcontract lifecycle leadershipfor multiple programs of varying complexity. You will assess solicitations, shape proposal strategies, negotiate terms, manage contract changes, and support administration through closeout—while ensuring strong customer relationships, compliance, quality, and on-time execution.

Key Responsibilities

Contract portfolio support: Provide direct contracts support for multiple government, airframe, and commercial contracts across varying types (fixed price, cost reimbursement, prime, subcontract, FAR Part 12/15, development, production). Terms and compliance assessment: Collaborate cross-functionally to assess and disposition commercial terms and conditions, and interpretFAR/DFARSrequirements for solicitations and contracts. Lifecycle execution: Lead contract activities from solicitation review and proposal strategy through audit support, negotiation, operations/change management, claims/disputes administration, and closeout. Leadership and influence: Lead functional teams and special projects; regularly advise functional and business leadership with sound recommendations and risk-informed options. Judgment and problem solving: Apply high levels of judgment to resolve complex issues, drive solutions, and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or execution. Continuous improvement: Support a culture of compliance, quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement. Stay informed on industry trends that may impact contracting strategy or execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum7 yearsof progressively responsible experience ingovernment, commercial, or internationalcontract formation and execution
  • Solid domain expertise incommercial terms and conditionsandFederal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), with emphasis onPart 12 (Commercial Items)andPart 15 (Contracting by Negotiation), plus applicableDoD supplements (DFARS)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and lead cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel periodically

Additional Information

The base pay range for this position is $131,000.00-175,000.00 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on May 29th, 2026.
