Software Python Engineer (Cloud Billing)

What You’ll Do

• Designing and implementing billing and internal analytics systems using Python, with a focus on processing billing statistics, data analysis, and reporting.
• Writing high-quality Python code that leverages FastAPI, relational databases, RabbitMQ, Redis, and other technologies to support robust billing and analytics workflows.
• Developing scalable and efficient data pipelines to handle large volumes of data.
• Building tools and APIs to provide real-time billing insights and analytics for various Gcore products.
• Monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining the performance and reliability of services.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate billing and analytics capabilities across all Gcore platforms.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Python development skills, including experience with asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to solve complex billing and analytics challenges.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• A passion for working with data and leveraging it to drive business decisions and insights.
• Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and innovations in billing systems and analytics technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with financial or billing systems and their unique challenges.
• Background in data visualization tools and techniques for presenting analytics insights.
