Strategy & Analytics Lead Automotive | Data | Growth | Decision Intelligence Drive Smarter Decisions. Accelerate Growth. Lead with Data. At USA TODAY NETWORK / LocaliQ Automotive, we’re not short on data—we’re focused on what to do with it. Our Automotive division is building a best-in-class Strategy & Analytics function designed to help dealerships outperform the market. We connect digital behavior, consumer demand, and inventory realities to drive smarter marketing decisions and measurable business outcomes. We’re looking for a Strategy & Analytics Lead who operates like a business partner—not just an analyst. Someone who can take complex, multi-source data and turn it into clear, confident direction that clients actually act on.

What You’ll Do Strategy & Analytics Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and dealership partners
  • Lead discovery conversations to uncover performance gaps and growth opportunities
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, executive-level insights and recommendations
  • Find the story in the data—not just report on it

Data Integration & Insight Development

• Analyze and connect data across:

◦ GA4 (digital behavior) ◦ CRM systems (sales pipeline & outcomes) ◦ Inventory & sales data ◦ Market demand and share trends

  • Identify where marketing performance and actual sales are out of sync—and close the gap
  • Turn fragmented data into a cohesive, actionable strategy

GA4 & Technical Execution

  • Own and optimize GA4 implementations (events, conversions, attribution)
  • Run reports, interpret trends, and extract meaningful insights
  • Diagnose and resolve tracking or attribution issues
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity across platforms

Client & Sales Partnership

  • Partner closely with sales teams to shape strategy—not just support it
  • Participate in client conversations and influence decision-making with confidence
  • Help position digital solutions based on real business needs and data-backed opportunities

Performance & Growth Impact

  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing efficiency and business performance
  • Support client retention and expansion through strategic insight
  • Drive measurable impact—not just analysis

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in analytics, strategy, consulting, or related roles
  • Strong experience working in data-rich, decision-driven environments
  • Automotive experience is a plus—but not required

Technical Skills

  • Advanced experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with CRM systems and attribution platforms
  • Familiarity with BI tools and third-party data sources (e.g., Polk, market data) is a plus

What Sets You Apart

  • You’re a thinker, not just a processor
  • You’re naturally curious and ask sharp, strategic questions
  • You simplify complexity into clear, actionable insights
  • You’re comfortable challenging assumptions and influencing outcomes
  • You thrive in ambiguity and can connect dots across multiple data sources
  • You operate like a business partner, not “the analytics person in the corner”
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a rapidly evolving, data-driven growth organization
  • Work at the forefront of automotive marketing and analytics innovation
  • Help dealerships make smarter, more confident business decisions
  • Join a small, experienced, highly collaborative team doing meaningful work
  • Influence real outcomes—not just dashboards

Compensation & Earnings

  • $55,000 - $70,000 base salary + bonus potential (20%)
  • Top performers exceed expectations

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company support
  • Market-leading Unlimited PTO (Managed Time Off)
  • Career growth in a high-impact, high-visibility role

The salary for this role will range between $55,000 and $70,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
