This role will oversee and contribute tomultipledevelopment teams across the vertical, working closelywithvertical and BU leadership.Inaddition to managing engineers, this role requires active involvement in software development, ensuring both strategic oversight and hands-on support. You will lead technical design, manage the delivery of software projects, and align engineering efforts with business goals. A key focus will be implementing structured sprint cadences, refining team workflows, andestablishingstandard operating procedures to build a more scalable and efficient engineering organizationacross the vertical. You willbe responsible forguiding your team through the full software development lifecycle, driving high-quality, maintainable, and scalablesolutions.

Inaddition to the standard oversight, this role is theAI champion for the Vertical. We need a leader who views AI not just as a buzzword, but as a pragmatic tool to:

Accelerate Coding:Implement AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code etc.) to help oursmall dev teams accelerate through our product backlogs.

Product Innovation:Lead the integration of AI-basedtooling into our products tobenefitcustomers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to softwaredevelopment efforts, writing and reviewing code to support critical projects and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Lead and mentor a development team delivering high quality, scalable software platforms.

  • Drive the adoption of AI-assisted developmenttoolsto increase team velocity and oversee the integration of machine learningmodels intothe product suite

  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

  • Collaborate withBusinessUnitleadership teamto understand priorities and businessobjectives, translating them into technical deliverables.

  • Define and implement structured sprint cadencesand other agile practices to improve velocity, predictability, and quality.

  • Promote best practices in coding standards, testing, code reviews, and DevOps to ensure maintainability and scalability.

  • Review technical designs and code, avoiding unnecessarycomplexityand ensuring the quality of deliverables.

  • Maintain a flexible and adaptable development framework that can scaleupto meet new market opportunities.

  • Ensure stability and performance of software systems, proactively addressing any issues to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Optimizeengineering talent across the vertical, balancing the maintenance ofcoresystems with the delivery of high-priority modernization projects.

  • Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams,identifyingemergingleaders and ensuring a culture of high engagement and morale.

  • Lead by example as a primary contributor

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight for the engineering team.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews.

  • Establish andmaintainbest practices, quality controls, and SLAs.

  • Oversee resource allocation andworkload balancing

  • Resolve conflicts and remove roadblocks

Skills & Competencies:

  • Agile Leadership & Delivery: Ability to champion Agile principles, guide engineering teams through the full development lifecycle, and ensure predictable, high-qualitysoftware delivery. SQL Server, C#, Angular, .NET,Experience and Leadership

  • SQL Server, C#, Angular, .NET, Experience and Leadership 

  • Azure Cloud Architecture & Deployment 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with SDLC tooling(e.g.Jira)

  • Experience with CI/CDmethodologyand delivery

  • Prior experience withinventorysoftware solutionsis a plus

  • Minimum8+ years of professional experience

  • At least 6 years of experience in developing Web, SaaS, or Mobile products

  • Minimum5+ years of experience directly leading or managing an engineering team

  • Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems

  • Demonstrated ability to learnnew technologyand/or complex systems

  • Deep understanding of .NET/C# programmingusing Microsoft Visual Studio

  • IntermediatetoAdvancedknowledgeof SQLusing SQLManagementStudio

  • Proven ability to decompose complex problems into discrete software deliverables

  • Coachable with a high integrity ownership mind-set

  • Self-starter with consistenttrack recordof delivering high quality software in a pragmatic fashion

Salary Range: $115,140- $150,000 USD
