About Freeda
Freeda (Free from Domestic Abuse) is Jersey's only exclusively independent domestic abuse charity, formerly known as the Jersey Women's Refuge. The organization is dedicated to protecting and empowering women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, enabling them to take control of their lives and live free from fear.
Freeda provides comprehensive services including a 24/7 helpline, safe house accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic abuse, outreach support in the community, legal and financial guidance, and children and young people's services. Their inclusive and accessible person-centred services are delivered in a confidential, non-judgemental, kind and respectful manner. All services are free of charge, and the organization will not turn anyone away due to financial constraints, housing situation, or nationality.
