We are seeking a Business Analyst who will be responsible for improving Forcepoint’s customer and prospect data. The dataquality program scope includes Forcepoint’s salesforce.com business data, including contacts, accounts, subscriptions, contracts, quotes, Hubspot contacts, and other data used to transact and monitor bookings and revenue. The analyst will develop, report on, document, and drive improvement of Forcepoint’s data assets coordinating with data management partners and technical resources.
The Data Analyst will report to the head of Go To Market Operations
CORE DUTIES:
Develop insights into the current state of our contact data across all objects and systems
Implement, maintain, and extend end-to-end data quality processes and tools
Identify common data elements for improvement, eg email, title, industry, employees, function, department
Collaborate with data owner, stewards, and managers to define, implement, and document quality
Facilitates data quality activities supporting data owners, data users, and other partners in governance workgroups
Collect, manage, and clean datasets using extraction tools, eg SQL, excel, AI apps
Show how and where key data is used across the org to ensure its integrity and consistency
Develop and produce dashboards, key performance indicators, and other recognized metrics to monitor and report data quality current state, activities, and progress to show continuous improvement of data quality, consistency, and availability
Research and reconcile data discrepancies occurring among various business processes, information systems, analyses, and reports
Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
Monitor and ensure accurate inclusion of metadata content like definitions and sources with access defined
Identify, test, and implement tools that continuously improve our data
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics, or engineering.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to describe and document how information flows through a complex organization, how it is captured, transformed, and analyzed in administrative computer systems, and how it may be described in metadata.
• Experience managing data in enterprise-scale applications preferred.
• Basic knowledge and demonstrated experience using and applying database management system software, such as ETL Software, analytical software, database reporting software, database user interface and query software, and data mining software.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and communicate results in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements.
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail.
• Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question.
• Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external customers.
