Position Summary
The PMO and Program Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining project governance standards across FoodChain ID’s project portfolio as well as senior-level oversight role responsible for managing a small number of FoodChain ID’s most strategic and complex programs.
Through the PMO, this role ensures project health, compliance, and risk visibility through consistent oversight, metrics, and accountability. As a Program Manager this role ensures alignment with customer business priorities, coordinates multi-team delivery across FoodChain ID, and enforces governance standards to mitigate financial, reputational, and adoption risks.
By maintaining executive-level engagement with customers and internal stakeholders, the PMO and Program Manager ensures that projects deliver the value customers expect from FoodChain ID’s products and services, while also protecting FoodChain ID’s reputation for excellence, reducing churn risk, and driving opportunities for growth.
Working in close collaboration with Sales Executives, Opportunity Teams and Product Managers, the Program Manager coordinates overall solution delivery to provide predictable outcomes for customers while keeping internal FoodChain ID stakeholders informed.
Specific responsibilities include:
PMO Governance & Oversight
Establish and enforce program governance standards, including structured reporting with KPIs, stoplight dashboards, and financial tracking.
Ensure all projects adhere to FoodChain ID’s governance requirements, including up-to-date deliverables, schedules, and risk logs.
Conduct regular project health reviews and enforce accountability for timely and accurate status updates.
Analyze project data to identify trends and systemic issues requiring escalation or intervention.
Project Health Monitoring
Evaluate key delivery metrics, including Schedule Performance Index (SPI), budget consumption, budget estimation, milestone adherence, and scope stability.
Partner with Project Managers to assess delivery risk and mitigation plans.
Provide portfolio-level reporting on project health to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Risk and Issue Management
Identify high-risk projects through performance data and qualitative review.
Facilitate risk assessments and ensure that mitigation strategies are documented, monitored, and reported.
Support escalation management and coordinate with relevant leaders to drive resolution.
Continuous Improvement
Drive consistency and quality across all project reporting and documentation.
Capture lessons learned and integrate findings into updated governance frameworks.
Recommend process improvements and best practices to increase predictability and reduce delivery risk.
Executive Engagement
Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer executives to align program delivery with customer business priorities.
Demonstrate program progress in terms of business value delivered, not just milestones achieved.
Escalate issues and risks to the right level to protect customer satisfaction and FoodChain ID commitments
Coordinated Delivery
Lead and align cross-functional teams (consulting, product, support, and customer stakeholders) under a unified program plan.
Ensure projects deliver the expected customer value from FoodChain ID’s products and services.
Provide a consistent and unified narrative to customers on program health, risks, and achievements.
Location and travel
This position is remote, but candidates must be within reasonable distance of a major US airport.
Candidates should expect 10-15% travel as customer projects demand.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience in managing strategic customer programs where software product delivery and consulting services intersect.
7+ years program or project leadership experience in software or technology or which, at least, 3 years is in professional services project delivery
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMP or similar certification preferred)
Demonstrated success in managing strategic, multi-workstream programs with executive-level stakeholders.
Strong skills in program governance, risk management, and customer relationship management.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Experience with enterprise software delivery and product roadmap alignment strongly preferred.
Ability to operate in a matrixed organization with high visibility and accountability.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
