The Global Delivery Assurance Manager is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving project delivery standards across this life sciences organization. This role provides independent oversight of project quality, risk, and compliance while acting as a strategic advisor to project teams and leadership. The position exists to ensure consistent, high-quality project execution across global regions through governance, coaching, and continuous improvement. Delivery Assurance does not manage project execution. Instead, it ensures quality, compliance, and governance through independent oversight and advisory support. This role has COO oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Standards & Methodologies

  • Audit compliance with, and suggest improvements for, global project delivery standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Train teams on QMS processes, tools, and Professional Services Automation (PSA)-related topics.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of delivery methodologies across all regions.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct project health checks and post-project assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with QMS, ISO standards, organizational policies, governance, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify early warning signs, risks, and cross-project dependencies, review mitigation strategies and their effectiveness.
  • Provide independent assurance to leadership on project KPIs, compliance status, and overall project health.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor project KPIs including timelines, utilization, cost performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Produce executive-level reports and dashboards.
  • Track SLAs, KPIs, and contract requirements for projects involving vendors or partners.

Coaching, Advisory & PMO Collaboration

  • Act as an advisor to project managers on project governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Support resource assignment discussions and conflict resolution.
  • Consolidate post-project performance feedback related to global project team members for department managers.

Contractor Oversight

  • Monitor offshore team performance against agreed operating rules.
  • Monitor contractor performance against SLAs, quality benchmarks, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage escalations and lead remediation efforts when delivery issues occur.

Continuous Improvement

  • Gather lessons learned across engagements and integrate findings into improved standards and processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recurring issues across global delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to improve project maturity, throughput, and operational efficiency.

Audit & Governance

  • Lead external and internal audits, including ISO9001, ISO27001, Client audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure documentation practices meet audit and certification standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in project delivery, PMO leadership, quality assurance, or delivery governance.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Experience with QMS frameworks, ISO standards, audits, and process compliance.
  • Experience with PSA toolsets (e.g., SAP Business ByDesign).
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex delivery challenges and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational awareness and ability to work across global teams and cultures.
  • Experience with project delivery for Life Sciences clients is beneficial.
  • MUST be authorized to work in the US (without any sponsorship)
