(Senior) Cloud/Platform Engineer

Your mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced (Senior) Cloud & Platform Engineer to join our engineering team.
Your mission is to elevate our cloud infrastructure by building scalable, secure, and efficient AWS-based platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and directly contribute to the reliability and scalability of our systems — essential for advancing patient care through early disease detection.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure AWS cloud platforms ensuring high availability and performance.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform following best practices.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support rapid and reliable deployments.
• Manage containerized applications on AWS ECS, virtual machines on EC2, and scalable storage via S3.
• Architect and support event-driven systems, including asynchronous workloads and message queues.
• Write and maintain internal documentation for infrastructure decisions, configurations, and operations.
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and secure cloud infrastructure to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Support cloud migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transitions for mission-critical services.
• Enhance the developer experience by improving tooling and internal platform capabilities.
• Maintain and support self-hosted services critical to product operations.
• Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities through rigorous testing and proactive mitigation.

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years experience building and operating cloud platforms, ideally in production environments.
• Deep familiarity with AWS ecosystem: ECS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including API development and scripting.
• Proven expertise in Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration in AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD best practices.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, queues, and async processing.
• Proficiency in managing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) in cloud setups.
• Experience with object storage (S3) and its usage for scalable data workflows.
• Structured approach to documentation and a high standard for reproducibility and transparency.
• Strong grasp of infrastructure security, including encryption, access control, and compliance.
• Comfortable with cloud monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for developer enablement and reliability engineering.

Good-to-have:

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience in medical imaging (DICOM) or prior work in the radiology or healthtech domain.
• Prior exposure to start-up environments and rapid scaling challenges.
• Basic understanding of data engineering tools like DBT or Airflow.
