ResponsibilitiesInclude:
- Application Development: Design, develop, test, and implement software applications in line with organizational needs and objectives.
• AI & LLM Solutions: Build and deploy large language model (LLM)-powered agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and AI automations that improve workflows and enhance user experience.
• API Integrations: Develop secure REST/GraphQL web services and integrations with ERP, SIS, LMS, and other university platforms (e.g., Workday, Ellucian Banner/Ethos, CS Gold, Canvas).
• Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement in existing applications and workflows.
• Web & Client Applications: Develop and maintain web-based and client-server applications using modern frameworks.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for existing applications, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions are secure and compliant with industry standards, FERPA, accessibility requirements, and university policies.
• Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and user guidelines; assist in training users when needed.
• Emerging Technologies: Stay current with software, cloud, and AI/ML advancements, bringing innovative practices to improve university operations.
• Maintenance & Upgrades: Participate in upgrade and lifecycle management projects for enterprise applications.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in application development using programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
• Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React).
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and data integration.
• Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, GraphQL) and API design.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, including LLM engineering, prompt design, embeddings, RAG, or vector databases.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Familiarity with project management and version control tools such as Git.
• Experience in an academic or higher-ed environment is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI/LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar).
• Experience with ERP and enterprise integrations (Workday, Ellucian Banner/Ethos, CS Gold, Canvas).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of mobile application development (iOS, Android).
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps, cost/performance monitoring, and prompt/version management.
• Experience with enterprise software and integrations (ERP, SIS, LMS).

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech’s 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
