We are seeking an experienced Landing Gear Systems Engineer to support our clients aircraft programme. In this role, you will lead and contribute to two critical work packages: the development of the Nose Wheel Steering (NWS) Electronic Control Unit and the Brake Control System (BCS).
Requirements
- Provide mechanical and electrical systems expertise for ATA 32 (Landing Gear) systems, focusing on the Nose Wheel Steering ECU and the Brake Control System on the Aircraft
- Develop, review, and approve design and compliance documentation for NWS and BCS, including technical specifications, design drawings, analysis reports, test plans, and compliance evidence
- Define and implement the certification strategy for the NWS ECU and BCS
- Act as the Compliance Verification Engineer for NWS and BCS systems
- Liaise with equipment suppliers on behalf of the aircraft manufacturer
- Coordinate requirements and interfaces between the suppliers and the aircraft design team
- Contribute to safety and reliability analyses for the landing gear systems
- Monitor and manage the progress of the NWS and BCS work packages against programme milestones
- Support configuration management and quality processes
- Collaborate closely with the client’s engineering teams and internal project managers
