Position Summary

The Transportation Specialistis responsible forensuring efficient and customer-focused dairylogisticswithinEver.Ag’sSilverLinkLogistics division.Thispositioncreatesand managesload plans,addressesreal-timelogisticschallenges such as plant outages and weather events, and conductscost and service analysis toidentifyand implement performance improvements.The Transportation Specialist worksclosely with major dairy companies, cooperatives, and haulers, gainingexpertisein dispatch operations, rate benchmarking, procurement, compliance, and performance tracking. This primarily remote role requires flexibility to occasionally work after hours and includes some travel for industry events and meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Become an integral part of thelogisticsteam to ensure prompt andeffectivecustomer service,whilehandlingday-to-day client interactions andfinding solutions tologisticalchallenges.

• Frequent use ofscheduling platforms and processes.

• Workon varying assignmentswhich may includeoccasionalafter-hours.

• Collaborate withleadershiptowardcontinuous improvement of services provided to customers.

• Monitor and ensurehaulerperformance andcompliance to mitigatebusiness andliability risks.

• Stay updated on transportation industry developments to provideexpertiseto customers.

• Reportimportant changesin customer or hauler needs to leadership and/or affected team members.

• Facilitateaccuratehauler payment.

• Engage in internal team activities.

• Provideexpertiseonteamconsulting projects.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Some travelrepresentingthe Ever.Ag Transportation Team at outside events.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation,businessor related field preferred, but notrequiredfor an exceptionally qualified candidate

• 2-5Years oftransportationexperience inoperations/dispatch,procurement,safetyand/orregulatory compliance

• Proven passion for serving customers and solvinglogisticsproblems

• Demonstrated initiative inresponding toafter-hoursneeds

• Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills with customers and internal team members

• ModerateMicrosoft Office skillsincludingExcel, PowerPoint,Outlookand/orPower BI

• Provenability to learn and useload planning and tracking software

• Dairyindustry experienceand knowledgepreferred

• Knowledge ofDOT/FMCSA regulationspreferred
