About the role

The Land Manager will play a crucial role in identifying suitable land opportunities, collaborating with landowners and agents, and overseeing the process of onboarding land for Habitat Bank creation and working with our delivery Team to create and manage the Habitat Banks on farms across England.

It is important that you live in the South of England - Bristol, Oxford, Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire would be ideal.

The role requires effective communication, collaboration with internal teams, and engagement with external stakeholders such as farmers, landowners, and Local Authorities.

  • Take sites through an internal offer approval process, justifying and championing why it should proceed. Gather and analyse data to support targeted Habitat Bank creation, including reviewing local plan policies, agri-environment scheme information, and market sector reports.
  • Work as part of a collaborative project team to create the Habitat and deliver capital works and then support the ongoing management of the site, liaising with landowners regularly.

Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Experience in rural land management an advantage, but not essential.
