Network Security Engineer

1. INTRODUCTION

The incumbent is accountable for installs, configures, test operating systems, application software, virtualization, system maintenance tool customer infrastructure (Banking and MFI) and wide area networks to ensure network devices are at the latest or advanced stage of development, innovation and pioneering in cutting-edge network technology and monitoring the issue.

2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

• Install and configure network devices such as Cisco switch/Router, Unify access point, Check point, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Firewall, TCP/IP, and Wireless Connection.
• Ensure availability connectivity of Data Center to DR Site and to any other branch/POS
• Installation, and support of network communications including LAN/WAN systems, T1, SIP, and VOIP systems.
• Upgrade network equipment and network system to lasts firmware/patch release.
• Monitor on inbound and outbound of network traffic, Ensure all user access internet and under security prohibition.
• Ensure that network performance, recovery, and security configuration are meet with security recommendation.
• Investigate, diagnoses and troubleshoot network related problems.
• Monitors the network for problem conditions, implements network troubleshooting procedures to isolate specific problem source and take corrective action
• Provide second level support of network issue, working closely with technical support team to resolving issue.
• Ensure ticket of request support are fixed following SLA and keep update status to helpdesk team or user regularly.
• Communicate and facilitate with other department for any incident of notification require.
• Day to day technical operation activities and support to the customer request support.
• Ensure whole network quality, healthy, security and high performance
• Other tasks assign by direct supervisor.

3. QAULIFICATION - REQUIREMENT 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other relevant filed.
• Certify cisco certificate (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, etc.) and experience of FortiGate Firewall.
• 3 years’ experience of installation, configuration of firewall, network.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP communications and how common protocols and applications work at the network level, including DNS, HTTP.
• Solid understanding of computer network fundamentals including address resolution protocol (ARP), routing, network address translation, virtual private networks, and the OSI model
• Fluent in English both spoken and written is mandatory.
• Willing to learn, fast leaner, flexibility, self-motivate and “Can do” attitude.
• Be able to work with under pressure environment.
