Electro Optic Systems

Electro Optic Systems (EOS) was established in 1983 when Dr Ben Greene, an advisor to NASA, and a group of scientists formed the company in Australia as a result of their expertise in optical and laser technology. What began as a focused effort to develop advanced optical tracking systems has evolved into one of Australia's leading defence and space technology exporters, now listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: EOS).

Today, EOS operates through two primary divisions that serve critical global security needs. The Defence Systems division specialises in advanced technologies for weapon systems optimisation and integration, developing next-generation Remote Weapon Systems (RWS), counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), high-energy laser weapons, and lethality systems for unmanned ground and maritime platforms. The Space Systems division delivers world-leading electro-optic equipment for space domain awareness, space surveillance, space control, and satellite communications, trusted by international space agencies and defence organisations worldwide.

With over 40 years of experience, EOS owns all intellectual property and employs vertical design to ensure effective long-term obsolescence management. The company maintains integration and production facilities across Australia, Singapore, USA, and UAE, enabling it to serve allied nations and defence forces globally. Recent achievements include winning the Australian Defence Industry Award for Export Business of the Year 2026 and multiple Australian Space Awards.
