Backend Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer to maintain and enhance existing web applications, manage cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with developers to deploy updates and new features. The role will involve security and compliance tasks, communication with clients and stakeholders, and providing technical guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a backend web developer
• Experience supporting US or offshore clients as a developer is a plus
• Good English communication skills
• Proven ability to set clear goals, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and deliver results
• Experience with Security and Compliance, such as SOC2 and Vanta
• Ability to understand and manage DNS, experience with GoDaddy, Cloudflare, and DigitalOcean
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), HTML, CSS, and experience with different programming languages and technologies
• Advanced knowledge of frontend and backend frameworks such as Vue.js 3, Tailwind, Vite and AdonisJS 5
• Advanced knowledge of databases, specifically Postgres, Redis, and MongoDB (both SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience in deploying websites using tools like Dokku, Docker, and docker-compose
• Familiarity with the Agile Framework and Secure Development best practices
• Capacity to explain technical terms and processes to non-technical individuals and work effectively in teams
• A ready and available portfolio or GitHub account for review during the interview process
• Well-rounded and adaptable, with a strong willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and the flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies
