Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design workflow internally.
- Ensuring that external design teams and the Edged design teams support each other
- Process Management; be pro-active in continual improvement design and engineering teams day-to-day basis for functional support to the Design & Engineering team
- Oversee and maintain governance and control processes to ensure objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organizations resources are used responsibly and efficiently.
- Provide guidance, support and direction across teams and ensure teams moving forward in alignment with business needs, by keeping the internal design team organized
- Manage the Edge Basis of Design (BOD)
- Ensuring it is up to date and distributed properly
- Including Edged Specs, design standards, and equipment submittals
- Partner with internal teams to understand customer and project requirements.
- Support site walk-throughs, surveys, and information gathering for new and existing data centers.
- Assist with RFP responses and design-related documentation for new projects.
- Coordinate with Project Delivery, Commissioning and Operations to ensure smooth handoff of design information.
- Serve as a point of contact for design related questions.
Experience & Education
- Experience in a Project / Program Management environment
- 3–5 years of experience working in an engineering, planning, drafting, or design environment. Data center and Critical Infrastructure Experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in building design related field, engineering or architectural.
- Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand building layouts, plans, or engineering documents.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Experience working with PPM tools and electronic document management systems (EDMS)
- Strategic and analytic thinker but with a strong operational focus
- Strong documentation and project coordination skills.
- Coordination, communications, problem-solving skills required
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with multiple teams in-person and virtually
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-moving environment. (same but different: Positive, self-motivation, self-starter, but also a team-player and ability to adapt to changing priorities)
