What you'll do

The Cash Applications Supervisor (12 month contract) will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the cash team. This position is a key role within the Global Accounts Receivable Team. This role will be working with the Billing and Collection team members to ensure a successful Accounts Receivable experience for our customers.

This position is a People Manager and reports to the Director Accounting Operations

Responsibility:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the cash team to ensure all cash is posted and applied daily
  • Assist the team with cash application issues and queries
  • Ensure that the team is adhering to corporate and department policies and procedures
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve outstanding payments
  • Identify ways to implement process improvements related to Cash Application tasks
  • Collaborate with technical teams on system issues and enhancements to speed up cash applications and increase auto match ratios
  • Monitor and manage unapplied and unidentified cash receipts to ensure those are kept to a minimum
  • Oversee the portal billing process to ensure invoices are submitted correctly and on time
  • Monitor performance and areas of improvements for invoice submission and customer onboarding through billing portals
  • Review, recommend, and align on Key Performance Indicators with the manager and set expectations for the team
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Collections, AP, Treasury) for effective resolution of customer queries and critical issues
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and SOX controls
  • Provide training and support to accounting team members on an as needed basis
  • Prepare periodic metrics for management
  • Work on special projects as requested by management
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the tech industry
  • Experience working with high volume transactions, multicurrency and multi entity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Supervisory or experience leading teams across different locations

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or other relevant discipline
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal) with ability to translate information into an organized and presentable manner
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle
