Sr. Bioinformatics Engineer

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of bioinformatics
• Experience with software engineering
• Willingness to collaborate closely with engineers to explain complex biological concepts and collaboratively design robust solutions
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development in Python, in a bioinformatics or life science context
• Experience performing large-scale genomic association, burden, and polygenic analyses (e.g., with REGENIE, SAIGE), including upstream data preparation, quality control, and cohort construction
• Working knowledge of clinical genomics workflows, including EHR and FHIR-based genomic data exchange preferable
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (scientists, product managers, engineers)
