Payroll Specialist – Remote

Responsible for all aspects of payroll. Reports to the Director, Payroll

Location: Ontario/Quebec - Remote Work Available

Expedition Expectations

• Processing semi-monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner
• Working closely with HR to ensure employee records and changes are setup correctly in payroll
• Deal with employee’s queries in a timely manner
• Review year-end RL 1 and T4, summaries and other required statements
• Monthly Payroll Reconciliation
• Be familiar with Quebec employee laws

Passport to Success

• Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written communication in French and English)
• Knowledge of ADP
• Ability to deal with confidential information
• Basic to intermediate Excel knowledge
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Proactive team player in a small payroll team
• Quick learner and organized
• Approachable and good listener
• Good analytical skills
• Knowledge of general payroll rules and hiring procedures
• Good numerical skills
• Accuracy and good attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
