About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the core architecture of this platform. You will join one of three specialized squads—Payments, Disbursements, or GRC—to build, optimize, and scale the backend microservices driving global financial operations. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer passionate about secure, high-performance systems leveraging AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.
Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture & Development: Architect and implement scalable backend microservices within the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squads.
- Squad-Specific Focus: * Payments: Develop and optimize systems for securely collecting funds from users.
- Disbursements: Design robust services for secure and timely fund distribution to beneficiaries.
- GRC: Build systems for user onboarding, KYC, and compliance, ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Infrastructure & Scalability: Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests while maintaining peak security and performance.
- Cloud Integration: Utilize Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools to maintain distributed systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, operations, and compliance units to deliver holistic financial solutions.
- Mentorship & Growth: Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage user feedback and system analytics to refine and iterate on platform capabilities.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record in the Fintech domain, specifically building and shipping complex financial applications.
- Backend Proficiency: Strong experience with Python (Flask/FastAPI), REST APIs, and SQL.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Firestore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, BigQuery) and Kubernetes.
- Architectural Patterns: Deep understanding of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and CI/CD practices (A/B testing, Feature Flags).
- Foundational Knowledge: Solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, and secure web service design.
- Language: Advanced or Upper-Intermediate English skills for professional collaboration.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Blockchain and Stablecoins.
- Familiarity with Redis, gRPC, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of KYC/AML processes and security protocols.
- Background in startups or high-growth environments.
