Associate Paralegal
Reports To
Director, Legal Affairs
The Job
Work at the direction of the Director, Legal Affairs and attorneys in the legal department to deliver professional legal and administrative services to the executives and employees of the Company. This employee will proactively focus on contract administration and department reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist department with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements by compiling and reviewing data related to contracts, team and corporate activity for finance and accounting requirements.
- Utilize contract administration software to reconcile and archive active/inactive agreements on regular basis, support internal teams with upcoming contract expiration reminders and be point of contact for user questions, etc.
- Provide administrative support to legal department and other internal departments as requested.
- Support the preparation and gathering of signatures for commercial contracts, including NDAs, vendor/supplier agreements, customer agreements and other matters as required.
- Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Director, Legal Affairs or department attorneys.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally in-house with a publicly traded company.
- Organization and maintenance of contracts, renewals, and other commercial activity, as well as organization and maintenance of corporate legal files and corporate organization database.
- Experience with Ironclad, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Slack, and Onedrive.
- A self-starter able to manage multiple projects under pressure and independently.
- The ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
- Excellent judgment, curiosity, integrity, dependability, collegiality, critical thinking, and strong work ethic.
