The Patient Advocate will provide support and education to Korlym patients who have opted in to our program. You will closely collaborate with our internal teams and specialty pharmacy as part of Corcept’s dedication to excellence within our patient-centered approach.  

Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with patients with Cushing’s Syndrome who are being treated with Korlym to provide information and disease state education.  Refer patients to HCP or specialty pharmacy when medical advice is needed or requested 
  • Work closely with internal teams and specialty pharmacy to ensure excellent patient support 
  • Document patient case notes and follow procedures around protecting PHI and document retention 
  • Report product adverse events to Corcept medical information hotline 
  • Maintain the highest standards of scientific, clinical, and technical expertise in Cushing’s Syndrome  

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

  • A positive, compassionate, caring attitude for patients suffering from a rare disease 
  • Good listener with the ability to communicate scientific and medical information clearly 
  • Ability to connect with a diverse group of individuals and develop rapport quickly 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team setting 
  • Ability to consistently and accurately document pertinent information in a secure database; proficient with reporting 
  • Occasional travel required 
  • Candidates located in the Central Time Zone are preferred 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Direct patient support experience in a medical setting required, including backgrounds such as nurse, diabetes educator or pharmacist
  • Experience working in patient support in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly desired.  Experience in endocrinology is a bonus
  • 4-year degree required 

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $144,700 - $180,900; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
