SailPoint IAM Architect

Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity is full-time and permanent with Pellera Technologies. A successful candidate will bring deep IAM Solution expertise along with strong business acumen and judgment. Utilizing your experience with all facets of IAM technology, you will work to lead programs, projects, and teams to solicit requirements and create designs for our clients to transition applications to IAM Platforms (like SailPoint IdentityNow / ISC & Okta). In addition to having strong technical skills, you must be comfortable in effectively leading in projects with technical IT teams, security professionals, and application owners, while being sensitive to a diverse cultural and technical backgrounds in a global business environment. Essential Functions:

• Direct engineers and developers on meeting client expectations with information security, Authorization and Authentication systems, infrastructure, and implementation techniques in large scale IAM projects, where you will hold overall accountability for success.
• Solicit business, technical, security, user experience, support, functional and non-functional IAM requirements through interactive engagement with key client stakeholders.
• Create solution designs in documentation and diagram formats for overall solution integration designs for cloud/SaaS tenants in multiple environments (dev, test, QA, prod, etc.) to meet requirements and design specifications for data residency, performance, security, and functionality. Okta WIC, Okta CIC, SailPoint IDNOW.
• In partnership with other Converge and Client team stakeholders based upon approved requirements and design aspects:
• Work in concert with internal client processes and leadership to adapt converge project to client change management, policy, and other internal methodologies and controls.
• Oversee IAM engineers performing hands-on configuration and integration work on IAM tools and components.
• Oversee IAM developers writing integration code for App integration, API integration, UX, self-service, and other features.
• Ensure appropriate test plans and test cases exist to meet requirements and ensure resilience in solution.
• Ensure appropriate documentation exists for internal support teams, operations, and end users for a smooth transition
• Support Converge and client teams and provide hands on integration support to connect applications to IAM connectors, workflows, and protocol integrations.
• Create and deliver presentations for executive consumption for key architecture decisions, solution approaches, and other key concerns while supporting PMs for status reporting
• Will serve at lead in project including architects, engineers, and customer personnel.
• Provide mentorship to team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies

• Expert level knowledge of tenant, geographical, network, rate limiting, and other design challenges presented through the adoption of cloud delivered IAM.
• Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and diagramming skills.
• Ability to oversee strong hands-on engineers and developers performing integrations with industry standard Provisioning and SSO technologies and protocols (SCIM, SAML/JIT, OAUTH2, FIDO2 WebAuthN, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)).
• Capable of adapting to new IAM technologies, explore and explain them to others even if not a hand on expert.
• Ethical and critical thinking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in IAM, RBAC, User Access Provisioning/Termination, Access Certification, Federation, Authentication, SSO, and similar technologies with at least 5 of these years in a project lead architecture role.
• Expert level experience with working with applications to adopt IAM solutions leveraging IAM platforms, Okta WIC, Okta CIC / Auth0, SailPoint IDNOW / ISC required.
• Experience in large-scale, global projects and programs.
• Expertise in IT security and risk management practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Network Security or related field or equivalent experience.

Desirable:

• SailPoint and Okta Certification(s).
• Security Certifications (CISSP, CCSK, etc).
• Other IAM vendor product certifications (Ping Identity, Saviynt, Microsoft, etc).

Location:

• Remote within the United States.
• Possibility of travel - up to 10%.
