Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated AIV / AIT Engineer to join our spacecraft engineering team. Reporting to the Satellite Systems Lead, you will oversee, coordinate and support AIT activities in order to ensure the spacecrafts are correctly tested and validated before launch. You will work closely with the rest of the Satellite Systems engineers and AIT team of the suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Write and review requirements, plans and procedures for AIV/AIT activities.
Write and review plans and procedures for environmental testing activities: thermal vacuum, mechanical and EMC in collaboration with the domain expert.
Execute functional testing activities at different levels and stages.
Act as test responsible for testing activities (functional/environmental) as required.
Manage, maintain functional testing facilities.
Write and review requirements and specifications for Ground Support Equipment.
Follow up procurement activities.
Participate in anomaly investigations
Your duties may also include supporting other activities within your field of competence
Location:This position is offered on a hybrid or remote basis in Germany or Belgium. We have offices in Munich, Berlin, Freiburg (Germany), and Brussels (Belgium). Occasional travel for team meetings & suppliers should be expected.
Requirements
About you
Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge and experience in satellite design and development
Hands-on experience with satellite-related hardware.
Experience in functional AIV/AIT activities, environmental testing activities, and AIV/AIT of optical payloads is an asset.
Ability to cooperate and negotiate with industrial partners to organise activities and solve technical problems.
Good knowledge of Linux and Python & Analytical skills
Familiarity with ECSS standards.
