Junior Consultant - Legal GenAI

Overview

Consilio’s Legal Management Consulting team works with in-house legal departments around the world to improve how they operate, including the responsible adoption of generative AI. We are seeking a junior consultant to support our Legal GenAI practice. You will work directly with experienced consultants on client engagements covering AI readiness, tool selection, prompt design, process redesign, and the operating model changes needed to make GenAI actually work inside a legal team.

This is a hands-on role. You will spend your time on real client problems from week one and must be willing to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement teams on Legal GenAI projects, including current-state assessments, tool evaluations, and implementation planning.
• Help map legal processes and identify where GenAI can sensibly be applied.
• Test and document GenAI tools (for example Legora, CoCounsel, Harvey, Wordsmith) and build prompt libraries for clients.
• Draft sections of client deliverables, proposals, and internal whitepapers.
• Take notes in client workshops and turn them into clear, useful outputs.
• Contribute to the team’s internal knowledge base and training material.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of work experience in a legal, finance, technology, or consulting environment.
• A degree in law, finance, information technology, data science, or a related field.
• Clear written and spoken English. You can explain a technical idea to a non-technical reader without losing the point.
• Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Familiarity with Power Platform and any GenAI tooling is a plus, not a requirement.
• Genuine interest in how AI is changing legal work, and a willingness to test things, break them, and learn quickly.
• Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple workstreams without losing track of detail.

Helpful but not essential:

• Exposure to legal operations, contract management, or compliance.
• Any practical experience using GenAI tools at work or in study.
• A second language relevant to our client base (for example French, German).
