Job Summary:
We are seeking a Salesforce Architect to serve as the senior technical authority for all Salesforce-related initiatives. This includes shaping the architecture vision, establishing and enforcing development and integration standards, and ensuring that system improvements are delivered with quality, consistency, and long-term maintainability. While the development team focuses on feature delivery, this role remains accountable for the platform’s architectural integrity.
This is a remote position with quarterly in-office sessions in Madrid, and up to two annual trips to our Washington, D.C./Metro area office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate all development work to ensure adherence to architectural standards, Salesforce best practices, and long-term maintainability.
- Conduct architectural reviews for all major changes, ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
- Provide hands-on guidance on platform configuration, data modeling, Apex design patterns, Lightning architecture, and API best practices.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into sound architectural solutions.
- Oversee integration strategy, including API design, orchestration, error handling, data sync patterns, and governance.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure technical feasibility, proper implementation, and adherence to established architectural standards.
- Advise on the use of Salesforce-native automation (Flow, Apex, platform events) while ensuring architectural integrity.
- 7+ years of experience working across the Salesforce ecosystem, including hands-on architecture, complex integrations, and multi-cloud environments.
- Proven experience defining and enforcing architectural standards, governance processes, and scalable development patterns.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing complex integrations using APIs.
- Strong command of Salesforce data modeling, sharing/security architecture, performance optimization, and platform limits.
- Experience with CI/CD for Salesforce, version control, and automated testing frameworks.
- Deep understanding of best practices for Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and platform automation.
- Strong background in cross-system architecture, data strategy, and integration governance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical teams and business leaders.
- Strategic thinker able to anticipate future needs, identify architectural risks, and propose pragmatic long-term solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
