Senior – 5+ years' experience
Skills:
Must to haves:
- Extensive experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native, microservice-based systems, preferably with Jenkins.
- Strong skills building, optimizing, and troubleshooting Docker-based build and runtime images, including multi-image pipelines (services, operators, test toolboxes).
- Deep familiarity with Kubernetes as a deployment and runtime platform, including working with manifests, Helm charts, and managing multiple services in a cluster.
- Experience implementing and maintaining Helm-based deployments, including dependency management, templating, and values management across environments.
- Solid understanding of configuration and secret management in Kubernetes (ConfigMaps, Secrets, certificates) and how services consume them.
- Proficiency managing Go-based services in production, including build tooling, caching, linting, and test automation as part of the pipeline.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (ideally AWS or Azure) and comfort working with local cloud emulators such as LocalStack for S3 and related services.
- Strong observability mindset: wiring health endpoints, logs and metrics into monitoring/alerting stacks.
- Experience working with Prometheus Stack and building Grafana dashboards.
Proven track record automating infrastructure and delivery workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams and processes/tools.
Nice to haves:
Experience operating and tuning Kubernetes operators/controllers written in Golang, including their CRDs and lifecycle.
Familiarity with multi-repo or monorepo strategies and how they impact build, test, and release processes.
Exposure to BDD or Gherkin-based testing and integrating these into CI stages.
Experience with quality gates and static analysis tools (e.g., linters, coverage, Sonar-like scanners) as part of the delivery pipeline.
Knowledge of advanced Helm patterns (subcharts, shared base charts, reusable templates) for large environments.
Understanding of blue/green or canary deployments and traffic management for backend services.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps-style workflows for Kubernetes and cloud resources.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Lua) for automation, tooling, and glue code in complex CI/CD pipelines.
