About your new role:
We are seeking a Director of Procurement to build and lead our global sourcing and vendor strategy as we scale a high-growth technology services business. This role is critical toestablishingthecommercial foundation that enables rapid expansion, strong margins, and reliable customer delivery.
You will own supplier strategy, contract negotiations, and procurement operations while working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to support fast, efficient growth.
Key Responsibilities
Global Procurement & Vendor Strategy
- Own end-to-end procurement strategy for bandwidth, last-mile services, and related technology services.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with global carriers, access providers, and technology vendors.
- Lead vendor onboarding, contract negotiation, pricing structures, and lifecycle management.
- Develop sourcing strategies that balance speed, scalability, cost efficiency, and service quality.
Startup-Scale Execution
- Establish procurement processes, tools, and governance from theground up.
- Support rapid infrastructure expansion, new market entry, and customer onboarding.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to align sourcing decisions with the product roadmap.
- Act as a hands-on leader who canoperateat both strategic and execution levels.
- Develop a high-performing team, driving collaboration,accountabilityand operational excellence
Commercial & Margin Focus
- Drive cost optimization and margin protection across services.
- Support deal-level sourcing and commercial approvals for strategic and enterprise customers.
- Partner with Finance to build scalable cost models and forecasts that support growth.
Operational Discipline
- Track vendor performance, SLAs, and commercial KPIs to ensure reliable delivery.
- Improve data quality, contract visibility, and procurement efficiency through automation and systems.
- Identifyrisks early and implement mitigation strategies across the supplier ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 3-5+years of experience in telecom vendor management roles.
- Deep experience negotiating with global carriers and access providers.
- Ability toleverageexisting relationships within the telecom industry.
- Proven ability to build procurement functions in fast-growing or early-stage environments.
- Strong commercial mindset witha track recordof margin improvement.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity, limited structure, and rapid change.
