The AMS Consultant is an experienced professional in Workday post‑production support, who is dynamic, fast‑paced, and familiar with the Application Managed Services (AMS) consulting practice. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide post‑production application‑managed support for Workday integrations across multiple client environments.
- Solve complex inter‑system issues leveraging SaaS, SOA, and web services expertise.
- Enable clients to maximize their investment in Workday by optimizing integration operations, enhancing existing integrations, and deploying new integrations to meet evolving business needs.
- Execute day‑to‑day AMS activities for Workday integrations, including incident resolution, monitoring, troubleshooting, minor enhancements, and break/fix support.
- Support a variety of client contract models, including staff augmentation, ad‑hoc support, and project‑based delivery.
- Track issues and risks, communicate status effectively, and escalate concerns to service or project management as appropriate.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Workday integration best practices and patterns.
- Evaluate, communicate, and coordinate the technical impacts of integration design and configuration decisions.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and educate clients on developing, operating, and supporting integrations to and from a SaaS platform.
- Develop deep expertise in Workday integration technologies while building broader knowledge of core Workday functionality and related modules, including Financials, HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent.
- Work directly with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate design alternatives, and configure, test, and deploy integration solutions.
- Mentor junior consultants and actively share knowledge to help grow the AMS practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Ideally 2–5 years of Workday or ERP consulting experience in a technical or techno‑functional role.
- Hands‑on experience supporting Workday integrations in a post‑go‑live or AMS environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with integration technologies, including REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP/S, SSL, PGP, SAML, and Workday integration tools.
- Experience with SaaS‑based integration architectures and monitoring/support models.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage client expectations.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple clients and operate in a dynamic, growing, ecosystem with minimal supervision.
