The Regional Vice President (RVP), Portfolio is responsible for leading a high-performing consulting delivery organization supporting Workday deployments and client relationships across Higher Education, State and Local Government, Healthcare, and Federal Government. This role provides executive oversight for all projects within a defined region, ensuring quality delivery, operational excellence, and strong client outcomes.
The RVP also plays a key role in strengthening our competitive positioning and elevating the value of our Workday services in a rapidly evolving market. The position requires deep delivery leadership, strategic influence, and the ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate our differentiated value to clients, Workday, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Regional Leadership & Delivery Excellence
- Build and lead a regional consulting practice focused on high-quality Workday deployments, strong client partnerships, and repeatable delivery excellence.
- Serve as Executive Sponsor for key client engagements, maintaining alignment with executive stakeholders and resolving escalations related to delivery, scope, or risk.
- Ensure consistent application of implementation methodology and delivery standards across all engagements.
- Oversee project planning, staffing, execution, and delivery in alignment with contractual obligations and client expectations.
- Collaborate with Engagement Managers and Delivery Directors to proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact project success.
Competitive Positioning & Market Strategy
- Strengthen the differentiated value of our Workday services by reinforcing best practices, solution accelerators, and innovative delivery approaches.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape within Higher Education, Public Sector, Healthcare, and Federal markets and guide the team on effective positioning during pursuits and delivery.
- Partner with internal leaders to evolve and refine service offerings, ensuring they are scalable, relevant, and competitively compelling.
- Represent the organization as a senior delivery leader in conversations with Workday and clients, articulating unique strengths, capabilities, and value drivers.
Sales Partnership & Business Growth
- Support Sales in developing proposals, SOWs, pursuit strategies, and solution recommendations that demonstrate delivery integrity, risk mitigation, and competitive advantage.
- Participate in key pursuit meetings and executive briefings to help shape deal structure, scope, and client confidence.
- Contribute to pipeline growth and regional business development by promoting successful outcomes, client references, and differentiated capabilities.
- Drive growth of the regional portfolio by identifying opportunities to expand project scope, introduce new services, or support long-term client roadmaps.
Operations Management & Performance
- Own regional KPIs including revenue, profitability, utilization, backlog, client satisfaction, and referenceability.
- Ensure delivery teams are aligned on performance expectations and operating with strong financial discipline.
- Partner with internal operations teams to define and execute regional strategies, policies, tools, and processes that improve delivery efficiency and scalability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline delivery operations, elevate quality, and increase competitive strength.
Talent Leadership & Team Development
- Directly manage Engagement Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Delivery Directors within the region.
- Build leadership capability through mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and professional development.
- Drive workforce planning, staffing, and resource management to ensure engagements are supported by qualified, high-performing team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and client-centric service.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Information Systems, or related field
• Experience in Services Delivery, Program and Project management, client relationship management with demonstrated achievement in successfully implementing and managing Cloud, SaaS, ERP or applications such as Workday, Oracle, ADP, PeopleSoft, Lawson Software for medium to large clients across multiple industries. Specifically:
• Minimum 12 years of extensive client interface experience in consulting and professional services, or similar position
• Managed a $30M Portfolio with P&L responsibilities • 10+ years project/program management experience with HCM, payroll or financial implementations for medium and larger, complex organizations
• At least 8 years of enterprise - class software solution deployment experience • At least 5+ years’ experience working in fast paced, growing, professional services organization with previous direct billable consulting service track record
• Working knowledge with at least two of the following business areas: Human Resources, PMO, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger or Accounts Payable/Receivable, Online technologies, Business Process, or change management
• Demonstrated success in a leadership capacity of a professional service delivery and/or operations management
• Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience
• Impeccable Client Service • Possess project management and team lead experience
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills • Strong personal leadership and management skills and skilled at leading and motivating teams
• Professional and polished demeanor; an effective and persuasive executive representative of the company
• Excellent business acumen and track record of successfully supporting sales organizations in partnership with delivering services
• Ability to participate at the strategic and tactical level of the company
Salary and Other Compensation
