As a Workday Benefits Senior Principal Consultant (Continuous Value Services), you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating the post-production phases of their Workday journey. Leveraging deep expertise and strategic insight, you’ll ensure a smooth transition from implementation to sustained success—maximizing the value of Workday’s capabilities. In this role, you’ll partner closely with clients to understand their evolving business needs, deliver tailored guidance, and drive optimization across their Workday environment. We are specifically seeking a consultant with strong specialization in Workday Benefits (required) and Compensation (preferred), who can provide expert-level support in these areas and help clients enhance their workforce strategies. You’ll also collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to implement effective configurations, share best practices, and provide ongoing support throughout the post-production lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Workday subject matter expert with deep functional knowledge across multiple HCM areas, with a strong emphasis on Benefits and Compensation. Understand and advise on touchpoints across Payroll, Finance, Time Tracking, Absence, Integrations, and emerging product capabilities.
Develop strategic solutions by identifying risks, evaluating options, and recommending mitigation approaches that align with client and functional requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to configure and test Workday updates, ensuring stability and minimal disruption to production environments.
Manage multiple workstreams with limited oversight, proactively communicating progress, changes, and risks to clients, project teams, and Engagement Managers.
Provide mentorship and guidance to consultants and analysts, supporting professional development through shadowing and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
Lead resolution of client tickets and initiatives by driving decisions, recommending best practices, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Achieve utilization targets while contributing to internal post-production initiatives that enhance client success, operational efficiency, and team collaboration.
Engage in ongoing training and actively participate in internal forums to share expertise, insights, and lessons learned across the organization.
Execute day-to-day activities across a variety of client engagements, including process design, lifecycle support, and post-implementation reviews.
Support business development efforts through opportunity identification, proposal creation, and participation in client pursuits.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership to support team and organizational goals.
Skills & Requirements:
Workday Expertise: Proven experience and/or certification with Workday Benefits required and Workday Compensation preferred, but not required
Client-Facing Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a customer service-oriented role, including consulting, account management, or client success.
Enterprise Systems Implementation: At least 5years of experience in enterprise management solutions, such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or SAP.
Solution Development: Strong background in requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, testing, and deployment to meet diverse client needs.
Functional Subject Matter Expertise: Deep domain knowledge in one or more Workday functional areas, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and best practices.
Client Service Orientation: Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional client service, with a proactive and consultative approach.
Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to manage client expectations and present solutions effectively.
Salary and Other Compensation
