What You'll Do

As the Data Operations Analyst at CO:CREATE, you’ll play a foundational role in building out the data infrastructure that powers our product, operations, and artist experience.

Reporting to the Operations Lead, you’ll serve as the company’s go-to for trustworthy, actionable data — pulling signals across systems, designing intuitive dashboards, and uncovering insights that drive better, faster decisions. While your primary focus will be on data — including SQL queries, dashboarding, and strategic analysis — you’ll also wear a few other hats, supporting light financial and operational workflows that help keep the business running smoothly.

Your work will equip every team at CO:CREATE with the clarity and confidence they need to move fast, stay aligned, and build something remarkable for the world’s top tattoo artists.

You can learn more about the role and what you'll do by reading the Mission & Outcomes for the Data Operations Analyst.

You’ll Get To

  • Build and maintain dashboards that track artist performance, platform health, and key business metrics.

  • Write intermediate SQL to pull and join data across sources like Stripe, GA4, backend systems, and HubSpot.

  • Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights for Product, Artist Success, and Growth teams.

  • Support goal tracking, forecasting, and strategic planning across teams.

  • Monitor data integrity and troubleshoot inconsistencies before they become blockers.

  • Maintain a single source of truth across tools, and ensure everyone can access the data they need.

  • Own lightweight financial ops like monthly bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and payment tracking.

  • Jump in on occasional administrative tasks that keep our systems humming — whether it's collecting W-9s, organizing files, or double-checking a report.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to simplify workflows, document systems, and improve reporting accuracy.

Who We’re Looking For

Passion. Enthusiasm for tattoos, artists, or building systems that support creative communities.

Experience: 3–5 years experience in financial operations, bizops, or hybrid data/finance roles.

Tool Proficiency: Skilled in BI tools like Metabase, Looker, or Tableau. Familiar with QuickBooks, Stripe, Justworks, and Deel.

SQL Skills: You can write, debug, and optimize queries across multiple tables and platforms.

Data Mindset: You love a well-designed dashboard and know how to make metrics actually meaningful.

System Builder: You bring structure to chaos — whether it’s organizing data pipelines or documenting who gets paid when.

Clear Communicator: Able to distill complex data into simple insights and cross-functional recommendations.

Detail-Oriented: You’re careful, meticulous, and allergic to broken formulas or missing receipts.

Bonus

  • Start-up or marketplace experience: You’ve worked at companies that have similar qualities to CO:CREATE.

Remote Work: You have had success in a remote organization.

Co:Create Ink, a venture born from Co:Create Studios and Gesso Labs, embarked on its journey to revolutionize the tattoo industry. The initial concept of Co:Create was as a community engagement protocol, a white-glove integration for brands to offer loyalty incentives using Web3 technologies. However, the trajectory shifted significantly when co-founder and CEO, Tara Fung, experienced the world of tattooing firsthand in 2023. This personal encounter illuminated the outdated norms within the industry, from artists' compensation to their reliance on platforms like Instagram, which were becoming less effective for community engagement due to algorithmic changes. This realization sparked the evolution of Co:Create Ink into a dedicated platform for tattoo artists and enthusiasts.

Launched in November 2023, Co:Create Ink set out with a mission to elevate tattoo artistry to the level of fine art, providing artists with longevity, value, and deserved exposure. The platform was meticulously designed to function as a curated marketplace, connecting collectors with world-renowned tattoo artists. It offers unique, curated digital galleries where artists can sell tattoo designs, which also serve as digital certificates of authenticity. This innovative approach allows artists to monetize their work beyond the traditional service model, earning recognition and compensation for their designs as digital collectibles. Backed by a significant $25 million seed round led by a16z crypto, with participation from notable investors like Packy McCormick of Not Boring, VaynerFund, and Rarebreed Ventures, Co:Create Ink is well-positioned to transform how tattoo art is created, owned, and appreciated. The platform emphasizes a seamless experience for both artists and collectors, built on Polygon for lower transaction fees and offering flexible payment options. It's more than just a marketplace; it's a movement to empower artists and build a vibrant, global community around the ancient and evolving art of tattooing.
